Why Register?

Some of my software is released as freeware, some as shareware or even as demo version only.While the freeware stuff is always usable without registration, the shareware and demo software always has some sort of limitation. To get rid of these limitation you have to purchase the full version by registering. The registration fee depends on the product - it may be smaller for little tools or higher for bigger applications. See the license section which is enclosed in any product's documentation.

For some of my freeware products you can purchase the source code by paying the registration fee. If you don't need this source code, you don't have to pay.

What Do You Get When You Register?

After paying the registration fee, you will get a fully usable version of the product you registered for.

• If you pay for the source code of a product, you will get this source code.
• Some products are distributed as limited versions protected with a key system. If you pay the registration fee for one of these products, you will get a personal key to make it work as a registered version with no limitations.
• Some products are distributed as demo versions. After paying the registration fee you will get another version with no limitations.

How Do You Get The Stuff You Ordered?

Registration keys, registered versions or source codes are available in three forms:

• The most recommandable and fastest way is to send it to you as email. This way is always chosen when you submit a valid email address and the amount of data does not exceed a certain limit (about 100 K)
• If you submit a valid email address, but the amount of data exceeds a certain size limit you will get an email that gives you a web adress where you can find your registered product
• If you don't have an email address or an internet account at all, you'll get a letter including your registration code or a floppy disk with your registered version. This option is not available for users who register with the Kagi system!

How To Register?

Registration is available in two forms:

Pay registration fee direct to the author

Pay registration fee using the Kagi system

Pay Registration Fee Direct To The Author

This method is recommended for users in Germany and for users in Western Europe that don't have a credit card. I accept payment in any of these forms:

• Sending cash to my address
• Transferring money to my bank account listed below
• Sending an eurocheque to my address

I accept payments in Deutscher Mark (DM), Euro (€) and US-Dollar ($). Payments in DM or € are required for using my bank account or sending an eurocheque (no $ accepted in these cases). Please make sure to name the product you want to register.

For lots of reasons I recommend to send eurocheques if you want to pay registration fees direct to the author. It is the fastest and most secure way to get the registered stuff.

All prices of my products are listed in US-Dollar ($). If no price in Euro (€) or Deutsche Mark (DM) is mentioned, use these exchange rates: 1 $ = 1 € (Euro) = 2 DM.

Pay registration fee using the Kagi system

Users outside Germany who want to register using a credit card can use the Kagi system. There is a program enclosed called REGISTER.EXE that explains the details and let's you enter the data that is needed to process your payment. Make sure to enter a valid email address when you use the Kagi system for registration!
